Evaluating Barriers and Drivers to Sustainable Food Supply Chains

Today, with the daily increase in population, demand for agricultural and/or, general, food products continuously raises and so does natural resources consumption which induces challenges to supply chain management of important products. In present study, drivers as well barriers agriculture sustainable are identified ranked help multicriteria decision-making (MCDM) techniques. We identify six seven experts’ opinions field apply ranking methods including TOPSIS-AHP, AHP, COPRAS-AHP Borda rule Copeland method merge ratings. The results highlight that economic dimension sustainability is more than environmental social dimension. Distrust consumers, lack understanding awareness managers, performance appraisal problems were found be most barriers. Furthermore, informing community by media, entering global market, exporting products, producing a competitive advantage drivers. study also shows public demands can push chains toward goals cooperation governments suppliers.
